It’s planting season and you’re invited
There are plenty of ways to contribute to our national parks, but there’s nothing quite like planting a tree and watching it grow.
The Commonwealth Government has provided $1.7m to the Department for Environment and Water for the restoration of Glenthorne National Park-Ityamaiitpinna Yarta. A significant component of this restoration is for planting native vegetation.
This winter, the rangers of the south metro district are hosting several community planting days at Glenthorne National Park-Ityamaiitpinna Yarta. This is your opportunity to roll-up your sleeves and get out into the fresh air and be part of the ecological restoration of one of South Australia’s newest national parks.
There are 4 dates to choose from so there’s bound to be a date that suits you: 19 June, 26 June, 31 July and 7 August.
Registrations are essential via Eventbrite.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of creating this new nature destination in Adelaide’s south.
