Glenthorne Action Team events suspended during COVID-19 pandemic

The GAT volunteer program is taking a break to protect the health and safety of volunteers and staff.

In the interests of public health and safety, Glenthorne Action Team (GAT) volunteer events have been suspended during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

The good news is, South Australia’s national parks are still open for local visitors to exercise and take a break. Research shows that spending time in nature is good for our mental health too.

If you can easily reach (either by walking, riding less than 30 minutes, or driving within 10 minutes) Marino Conservation Park, Hallett Cove Conservation Park and O’Halloran Hill Recreation Park why not head out, connect with nature in the precinct and get some fresh air?

In the meantime, if you’re curious to see what it takes to become a GAT volunteer check out this testimonial from volunteer Jenny Pickett.
